Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
The Service Line Leader is responsible for the stewardship and offerings of the service line. They ensure the commercial performance of the service in collaboration with the EMEA and UK leadership team and counterparts in other Anthesis regions. While some responsibilities may be delegated, the Service Line Leader remains accountable for all listed tasks.
As the Service Line Leader for ESG Systems, Data & Governance, your responsibilities include:
Service offering development:
* Identify opportunities for development and continuous improvement of our service offerings and digital solutions.
* Collaborate with other regions to align on approaches, methodologies, and foundations for delivery.
* Collaborate with other regional and global ESG Systems, Data & Governance leaders, our Digital team members, and other Service/Business Line Leaders, to develop successful solutions.
Go to market planning and business development:
* Lead go-to-market strategies to ensure offerings are fit for purpose in the evolving ESG data collection space.
* Lead the development of thought leadership and marketing materials for the Service Line.
* Work with the Marketing team to develop external collateral and support campaigns to drive business development.
* Lead business development for the service.
* Develop proposals with client managers and team members, and generate leads with new and existing clients.
* Maintain existing, as well as build and support new relationships with other sustainability consultants, NGOs, regulatory entities, software vendors and related ecosystem product/service partners.
Client management and delivery:
* As a senior performance data and metrics subject matter expert, provide supervision, guidance and technical leadership to clients as well as colleagues on leading delivery practices, standards, and trends, incorporating this knowledge into consulting projects, proposals and the evolution of new services.
* Mentor staff on client management and delivery, troubleshooting projects as needs arise.
* Help oversee the implementation of quality management processes within the service.
Team leadership:
* Balance the wellbeing of the team from a workflow, worker experience, workload balance, and learning and development perspective.
* Perform line management responsibilities for direct reports, including conducting performance reviews and goal setting, and providing mentorship and guidance on career path development.
* Lead recruitment of team members to grow our expertise and capacity for delivery in cost-effective ways.
* Manage team capacity against the project pipeline. Coordinate and manage the deployment of service team members on client projects.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
The ideal applicant will have relevant experience and a keen grasp of the commercial and technical requirements of the position, from a consulting or in-house role. Applicant must have familiarity with the ESG data systems, and emerging requirements for ESG data management.
Minimum requirements:
* 10+ years’ experience as a sustainability/ESG data management and reporting practitioner
* Significant experience as senior account executive/client manager.
* Demonstrated ability to work at and navigate all levels of an organization, driving decisions and direction through influence, including senior executives.
* Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to the dynamic, fast-moving sustainability environment.
* Ability to work individually and collaboratively within teams on a global basis.
* Experience leading business development initiatives.
* Highly organized with strong program management skills, interpersonal skills, and a professional presence with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise.
* Industry-relevant connections, with a network of potential clients, collaborators and other relevant stakeholders.
* Experience using and/ or implementing ESG Data Management tools and software.
* Substantial technical knowledge of the evolving global reporting and disclosure landscape, including mandatory reporting requirements and how those requirements will translate through to internal IT requirements, data governance, audit and assurance.
