We are looking for Mechanical Craftsperson’s to work as part of a turbine outage team at a power station in the UK. The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties related to Power Station turbine outage programmes and may be required to work away from home for periods of time. Typical contributions will include: - Understand and be capable of delivering the high levels of quality workmanship to tight timescales expected of our clients and their customers. Undertaking maintenance and associated tasks related to Mechanical equipment, to a high standard, working alone or as part of a team Taking responsibility for accurate fault diagnosis and implementation of work with consideration of cost, reliability and availability. Working in a flexible manner within levels of competency to contribute to the delivery of work programmes alongside other disciplines and work teams on site. Adhering to the Client safety rules and procedures and perform roles within the rules following training and accreditation. Be able to respond positively when unforeseen circumstances occur. Person Specification: A proven ability in Power Stations is necessary, as is expertise in the following areas:- Large rotating Plant (Turbines, Generators etc.) Valve, Pumps and Compressor maintenance Pipe and bench fitting. Pneumatic and hydraulic actuators and systems. Applicants will have completed a recognised apprenticeship and/or an Engineering qualification (or equivalent). He/she would be able to demonstrate sound technical knowledge together with a flexible and logical approach to problem solving
