We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Planner to join our existing team at our Leeds Head Office.
To provide forward plans for a designated range of products that supports sales and provides forward visibility to Manufacturing and the Supply Chain team in relation to capacity and parts requirements.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work with Suppliers to ensure stock planning and ordering supports the forward schedule and forecast as agreed by the business.
* Raise Purchase Orders against suppliers and manage suppliers to ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF).
* Understand usage trends and adjust Purchase Orders accordingly.
* Drive costs down by working with suppliers to achieve best price, MOQ’s and lead times while ensuring goods ordered are within required specification.
* Support production by ensuring all materials are available when required whilst maintaining inventory levels.
* Work with Sales team to monitor and improve forecast accuracy.
* Update Customer services in a timely manner of any changes that could affect patient orders. Working closely with Customer Services on any returns.
* Regularly update the management team on delivery performance, potential risks, and any known shortages to support continuous improvement.
* Manage order book with suppliers and any supplier supply issues, looking for alternative supply if necessary.
* Support the Data Management team with key information on supplier lead times, reorder points, safety stock levels, and pricing to enhance data accuracy.
* Work closely with Quality to quickly resolve any quality issues with suppliers.
* Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all suppliers adhere to ISO 13485 standards, maintaining high levels of regulatory compliance.
* Collaborate with the Finance team to resolve any invoice discrepancies or queries in a timely manner.
Personal Attributes:
* High attention to detail and experience working with data to make accurate conclusions and predictions.
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of building long-term relationships at all levels and delivering exceptional customer service.
* Strong IT and mathematical skills (Advanced MS Excel an advantage).
* Planning experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Use of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system desired, but training will be provided.
* Strong analytical skills to optimize inventory management, develop and measure KPIs, and use data to drive performance improvements and achieve strategic results.
* Ability to multi-task and time manage independently; ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Dedicated to meeting deadlines, staying accountable, and following through on commitments, always striving for excellence.
* Able to work effectively as part of a team, balancing individual and collective goals.
