Connect2Luton are excited to recruit a Transformation Lead on behalf of Luton Borough Council. Main purpose of position: This role is responsible for driving and managing significant transformation programmes and change across the organisation. You will be responsible to: Lead and influence senior stakeholders across departments and system wide to build commitment for our transformation priorities. Delivering consolidation of teams and services including designing new user journeys, maximising technology and supporting organisational change processes as staff and budgets transfer and savings delivered. As required, leading engagement with residents, staff, councillors and partner/community organisations to co-design new channels (website, telephony, face-to-face) and ensure a positive experience, accessibility for those with additional needs and efficient and effective use of resources. As required, working closely with the Data, Digital and Technology service to deliver a range of new technology including new telephony/omni-channel solutions, CRM functionality, website and online journeys Provide advice, support and work with core internal functions to ensure target operating models are delivered in a coherent and streamlined approach. Develop feedback and insight tools to capture key performance indicators to identify dependencies and opportunities/risks with other programmes, projects and change initiatives and ensure strategic alignment with Luton 2040 and wider Council's aims and strategies are met and maximised collaboratively, both internal and externally. Lead project team(s) on engagement, ensuring stakeholder mapping, involvement and communications, maximising joint working to ensure effective programme management and governance mitigating risk whilst ensuring value for money from external commissioned resources. Representing the Head of Transformation and Director of Customer and Organisational Development in key meetings including with members and 3 rd Skills and Experience: Substantial experience of leading delivery of change across an organisation or service area resulting in financial and non-financial benefits Substantial experience of leading operational/front-line changes Substantial experience of operating at a senior level, influencing stakeholders, members and managing risk Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to be able to engage effectively at Board level with major partners and stakeholders for complex, high level strategic issues and challenging situations when needed Able to develop and present clear project plans, business cases and project documentation, analyse complex information and data including the ability to identify patterns, trends and inconsistencies in data and produce meaningful reports and statistics to senior managers, key stakeholders and members Able to work on own or as part of a team. Able to prioritise, plan and organise heavy workload within a matrix management arrangement to meet conflicting priorities, targets and deadlines Able to organise and motivate teams of people to meet conflicting work demands and deadlines Able to identify when discrimination is taking place in service delivery or in the workplace and to take appropriate action where discrimination is identified Passion for and knowledge of best practice on customer services, digital channels and access models Relevant degree or equivalent verifiable experience Able to attend meetings outside of the borough for both the Council and external clients as required and attend meetings in the evenings About Us Luton Borough Council have partnered with Kent County Council to create Connect2Luton, a recruitment managed service for all contingent temporary agency, contract, and interim roles at the Council.
