Job Title: Business Support Officer Team: Education Engagement Salary: £11,234 to £12,186 per annum 15 Hours per Week Location: Parkside, Bromsgrove Permanent, Part-time The Role The Worcestershire Children County Council, Outreach Team provides support to 16-18 year olds across the County in gaining the necessary skills, to live independently post 18. We also manage our own properties and have a compliance and statutory duty to maintain the good repair and cleanliness of the buildings in which we house our young people. This role will be to support team with Tracking, Monitoring and Quality assurance, as well as auditing and purchasing items. We are seeking a Business Support Officer to assist us in meeting our statutory responsibilities, providing a range of administrative and business support. This will include managing all forms of contact eg telephone, face to face, email, and internet, as well as providing support, advice and guidance and accurately recording information. As a Business Support Officer you will collaborate with the team, other services (both internally and externally), whilst proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of the service. As a Business Support Officer, you will be able to provide frontline support, giving advice and guidance. You will provide casework and/or administrative support with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You should be a good communicator who is self-motivated, solution focused with the ability to liaise and communicate in person/and or in writing a variety of information, including dealing with anxious/apprehensive individuals in a sensitive manner. Good attention to detail and producing work to a high standard is required as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements. The successful candidate should also have experience in administration, with demonstrable computing experience, especially in the use of software packages of MS Office including the use of spreadsheets as well as management information databases. As well as considerable experience of office systems including the production of correspondence and reports, filing, arranging, and minuting meetings, dealing with incoming enquiries, document copying & scanning, and keeping accurate records.
