Role Overview:
As an Assistant Fire Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting fire safety across a range of residential projects. You'll work closely with senior engineers and project teams to ensure developments meet fire safety regulations, carrying out assessments and providing technical expertise to drive remediation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in conducting external wall system (EWS) assessments and producing detailed reports.
* Support cladding and fire remediation projects, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry best practices.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to assess fire safety risks and propose mitigation strategies.
* Conduct site visits to inspect fire safety measures and provide hands-on support during remediation works.
* Contribute to developing fire safety management strategies and assist with updating company policies.
* Stay up to date with evolving fire safety regulations, including BS 9991, PAS 9980, and Building Safety Actrequirements.
What We're Looking For:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Fire Engineering, Building Surveying, or a related field.
* Knowledge of fire safety legislation, building regulations, and cladding remediation processes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
* A proactive mindset and eagerness to develop within a dynamic environment.
