Unite People are currently recruiting for a permanent Site Agent on behalf of our Tier 1 civil engineering client, Initially working on a high profile highways scheme in the North of England. Responsibilities Lead the site team, managing all on-site construction activities while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Oversee daily site operations, ensuring the project stays on track with the established schedule and budget. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor to meet project milestones. Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications, promptly addressing any deviations or issues. Assist in preparing method statements and risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations. Monitor and report on project progress, productivity, costs, and any potential risks or issues that may impact the project. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in a similar role, In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations. Relevant qualifications in construction (HNC/HND, NVQ, or a degree in construction/civil engineering is preferred). SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is mandatory.
