As our Estates Surveyor, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work. Provide property professional expertise on all major estates initiatives, leading/inputting into business cases/projects for estate investment and provide estates strategy & direction to senior leaders and stakeholders Acquisitions and Disposals - direct on identification, appraisal and acquisition of temporary and permanent sites and disposals strategy, including obtaining investment approval and maintain reputation as source of property expertise with clients and colleagues Property Data Management - in depth knowledge of property data management systems (such as Propman; e-PIMS/InSite) and Government Data Standards. direct on Cabinet Office estates data commissions (e.g. State of the Estate (SOFTE)) Cost Management - supporting the preparing and examination of costs for budget purposes and supporting Finance Business Partner with estate portfolio cost information including IFRS reporting and budgeting. Stakeholder Engagement - build partnerships and maintain good relations with key internal and external stakeholders and professional advisors (including legal, professional, Government, public agencies and other organisations/partners) Planning & Development - advise on feasibility of planning permission and impact of planning policy and oversee all planning applications in support of business and Met Office Safeguarding consultation reviews and responses.
