Job summary The role of the Receptionist in a GP Surgery is important as you are the first person a patient will have contact with. Therefore successful candidates must work well under pressure with the ability to multi-task and work as an integral part of a well-established team. Excellent communication skills and telephone manner are essential, as well as being computer literate. The successful candidates will be methodical workers with very close attention to detail, and understand the requirements of working with sensitive and confidential information. Previous experience in a GP surgery is desirable but not essential as long as the candidates can demonstrate suitability for the role in their covering letters & CVs. We have two vacancies for full time roles of 37 hours each per week. You will work over 5 days on a rolling am/pm shift rota, covering the surgery's core hours of 07:45 to 20:00. Starting salary is £11.44 per hour but can be higher if candidates have demonstrable, relevant experience. There can be an immediate start for the successful candidates.
