As BakerHicks continues to expand and provide best in class services to clients across project, programme, and portfolio management, a dedicated Business Consultancy team has been established.
This team will provide high end business advisory services across all BakerHicks Business Sectors, Business Units and Geographies that will:
* Be profitable and sustainable
* Grow on a yearly basis
* Act as an enabler to position the design, engineering and delivery disciplines for project commissions
As a Managing Consultant – Delivery, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of consulting services to clients across project, programme, and portfolio management, as well as driving further business development of the Business Consulting service line.
Your role will involve driving effective management consulting services including project controls, reporting, and performance monitoring.
This role will be central to driving the successful delivery of client projects by providing expert advice, strategic insights, and hands-on support across various stages of the project lifecycle. This includes helping clients optimise business processes, implement effective governance frameworks, manage organisational performance, and ensure the successful delivery of both small and large-scale initiatives.
You will play a key role in managing stakeholder relationships, promoting best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement, while also supporting the development of BakerHicks offerings and expanding its client base.
Ultimately, this role will be crucial to our growth and success, ensuring client satisfaction and delivering tangible business outcomes.
Key Objectives
You will oversee business development as well as the delivery of P3M (Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management), P3M3 (Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management Maturity Model) and P3O (Project, Programme, and Portfolio Offices) support services, ensuring the integration of best practice project management methodologies to help clients achieve successful outcomes.
* Ensure governance, transparency, and accountability across client engagements as well as supporting the development of capability and business development.
* Design and implement project controls, prepare reports, and provide data-driven insights to monitor performance.
* Establish and operationalize P3O offices, supporting clients in enhancing their internal capabilities.
* Mentor and develop teams, driving continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements
Education
* A degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Ideally Chartered in relevant field (CHPP, CMA, etc)
* PMP, MSP, MOP, Prince 2, P3O, P3M3, Agile (or related methodologies), or equivalent project/programme management certifications (some or all of these are required).
Experience
You will have proven experience in project, programme, and portfolio management, with a focus on delivering consultancy mission critical services to infrastructure centric high-profile clients as well as experience in driving further business development within the market.
* Experience in implementing and managing P3O (Project, Programme, and Portfolio Office) frameworks and structures.
* Extensive experience in delivering large-scale, complex projects and programmes across multiple sectors.
* Familiarity with the Crown Commercial Services Management Consultancy Framework 4 and understanding of its requirements and client expectations.
Skills
* Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.) and project reporting platforms.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide data-driven insights and reports.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
* Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
