Site Services Engineer
Based in Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The home of Mr Kipling
Salary - Circa £45,300 per annum
Permanent, Full time (39 hours per week)
A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Site Services Engineer to join the team. You will be be a fully engaged team member, with flexibility to efficiently fault find, report, maintain and improve a variety of facilities and building maintenance across site. Ensuring that necessary facilities are maintained to a high standard including – plant cooling systems, steam boiler generation, water systems, compressed air systems, fire sprinkler systems, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance.
The successful candidate will:
1. To implement maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve full compliance to the production plan, by minimising disruption to manufacturing and site.
2. To support the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment in order to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policies.
3. Personally demonstrate safe behaviour and take responsibility for the management for the health & safety of staff and contractors
4. To provide an innovative proactive engineering support service to the site based on skill, experience and initiative.
5. Communicate daily with Facilities Team Manager to ensure planned maintenance, engineering and production priorities are considered.
6. Liaise with Team Manager daily to ensure priorities are clear, understood and communicated, ensuring optimum customer service in terms of quality, quantity and punctuality and promoting safe working practices at all times
What we need from you:
7. Multi-skilled with electrical bias
8. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering for example – Level 3 Electrical/electronic engineering or similar
9. Practical knowledge of CI tools and techniques.
10. A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
11. Excellent Communication skills.
12. IT literate
13. Able to take own initiative and is solutions focused.
14. Can do attitude.
15. Excellent time management skills.
