Job Description
PE Global is recruiting a Performance Systems Integration/Simulation Engineer for our manufacturing client based in Peterborough. The role is an initial 12-month contract and the role is hybrid. The rate range for this role is £29.20 - £39.23 p/h. This diverse role involves managing the interface between engine products and machines, providing scope for the candidate to get involved in various parts of the process.
Responsibilities:
* The Performance Systems Integration Engineer will focus on developing current and future products, working alongside other talented Engineers to make data-driven decisions, create new solutions, ensure product quality and emissions compliance.
* The Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team defines the end-to-end performance system:
* Requirements: System architecture, calibration requirements, and control system definition
* Detailed technical trade-offs and control system development through simulation and analytical tools
* Technical problem-solving and issue resolution
* Integration of products into customer applications
* Demonstrating product quality, emissions conformance, and product signoff
Requirements:
* Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience with a background in control/simulation, technical expertise, and understanding required
* Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Office 365; experience with GT Power or Ricardo wave highly desirable for transferable skills
* Technical knowledge of IC engines, performance simulation tools (0D/1D), and control systems
* Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities
* Accredited Engineering/Science/Technology degree, Bachelor's/Master's degree or PhD
