Role Overview:
EMCOR UK is looking for an Estimator with either Mechanical or Electrical experience to support our new works project team on our largest defence contract in Aldermaston/Burghfield, Berkshire.
What you will do:
* Manage the bid and resource co-ordination process involving both direct and indirect staff management.
* Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
* Provide information and prepare and compile proposal submissions including solution and option appraisal of new methods of FM Service delivery.
* Proactively improve communications, management procedures, and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
* Manage the implementation of ‘best practice’ arising from consultation and liaison with external bodies and other EFS divisions.
* Ensure meaningful commercial and operational data is established across the division.
* Use EMCOR BMF Estimating package/system to verify validity of bids.
* Obtain specialist subcontractor costs.
* Read and understand client requests/documentation.
* Formulate bids based on BDM brief where required.
* Labour loading of asset information.
* Attend site visits across the UK as part of the bid process.
* Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation.
* Update Pipeline Reporting System and contribute to the generation of BD Management information reports.
* Attend Divisional Bid Meetings.
* Progress submitted tenders.
* Assist in formulation of tender returns.
* Measure performance versus contracted requirements.
* Identify cost-saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations.
* Interact with client organisations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.
What you will need:
* Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
* Excellent management experience.
* Relevant experience of estimating within the FM Industry or Mechanical/Electrical.
* Experience of working in an SFG20 environment is desirable.
* Proficient IT Skills to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
