Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our CATAT service (Camhs alternative to admissions team ) CATAT have 2 main pathways: Admission Avoidance - Least restrictive option, CYP who are already open to a core team but need a more intensive intervention to support their mental health needs. To prevent things from worsening and/or needing a hospital admission. In-reach/Outreach - support to young people leaving inpatient settings (T4) to help them adjust back into life in the community. This excellent team who between 07/2022 - 08/2024 have avoided 165 admissions, so if you are a dynamic person who wants to make a change to services providing support and care to young people and families, to continue our work and successes then why not apply now and join us Main duties of the job Main duties are to support the delivery of psychologically-informed assessments, formulations and interventions to service users alongside psychologists and other colleagues under the close supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.This will include cognitive assessment, personality assessment and mental health difficulties. There will be opportunities for group and individual work as well as data collection, audit and evaluation of exciting new developments in the delivery of psychologically informed interventions within the team. A good understanding of psychological models and their practice application, as well as data analysis and report writing skills is desirable.
