Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor having worked in the civil engineering sector?

Our client has a couple of exciting opportunities within their business for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, however they would also be interested in candidates at either QS or MQS level based upon the right experience and fit!
They are able to offer long term guaranteed work options, with a range of projects in the area. You could be working on one of two major schemes, (one currently ongoing and the other starting currently) on the south coast and have future career opportunities with the business as they have further works (both won and under tender) in the area which would provide an ongoing pipeline of work locally for you to work on.

They are strongly involved in the civil engineering sector and this encompasses groundworks, marine works, highways, water and energy sectors.
The Role:
1. Based upon your experience levels your role may vary to include management of other members of the commercial team as well as duties such as preparation of tenders, cost planning and contract documents, including preparation of estimates with the subcontractors and materials suppliers.
2. Negotiate contracts and work schedules and allocate work to subcontractors and oversee their work at all stages.
3. Undertake cost analysis, performance risk, value management and cost control.
4. Ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with the contract and health and safety regulations.
5. Produce accurate forecasting and commercial reporting to project team and client.
6. Manage the cost reporting system and manage financial status of projects.
7. Identify and manage change and maintain change register.
8. Identify areas within the contract to increase profitability of the project.
The Candidate:
1. Ideally a Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
2. Previous experience working on NEC form of contract.
3. Be able to display previous experience working on similar civil engineering projects.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
