The post is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Allied Health Professional to build upon and advance their clinical skills as well as learn leadership skills.
The focus of the service is to ensure that patients receive timely assessment and therapeutic intervention to maximise their independence, safety and wellbeing. This post is a community-based Senior Occupational Therapist. They will work under the supervision of a B7 Specialist Occupational Therapist and will be responsible for supervising Therapy Assistants, OT apprentices, and/or OT students.

Qualifications and Training
* BSc (Hons) or equivalent Occupational Therapy qualification
* HCPC Registration
* Older People’s specific post graduate courses
Experience
* Post qualified experience within Older people’s services
* Working within NHS Older People’s services
* Application of core OT skills and OT process
* Multidisciplinary team working
* Relevant post-qualified OT experience in Mental Health
* Experience of supervising/co-supervising students
* Involvement in research and clinical audit
* Post qualified experience as an OT (or equivalent role) in a health or social care or 3rd sector setting
Knowledge and Skills
* Understanding of Clinical and environmental risk
