East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) is a unique authority representing a region with a rich cultural history and exceptionally diverse geography with our world class cities, heritage towns and rural counties. We have a wide range of industries and natural assets as well as world renowned universities and our central location provides superb links to the rest of the UK and internationally. Our Mayor, Claire Ward and leaders across Derbyshire, Derby, Nottinghamshire and Nottingham have an impressive determination to make a difference in the region. EMCCA has already unlocked billions of pounds of investment for our region through our devolution deal with the government and there is more to do as we move deeper into robust delivery. There is a new and dynamic senior team in place led by our CEO, Amy Harhoff who are passionate about partnership, driven by purpose, and committed to delivering lasting outcomes for the people of the East Midlands. As Director you will lead the strategic development of EMCCA’s regional policy, devolution strategy, and public service reform. This critical leadership role will ensure that the region’s ambitions are underpinned by strategies that promote inclusion, health system integration, and community engagement. You will also lead on embedding public health priorities, tackling inequalities, and driving integrated approaches across blue light and other key services. You will be at the heart of a collaborative, ambitious organisation, shaping the region’s future by ensuring that policy and reform initiatives deliver for all communities. You will also act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team and Mayor, providing the strategic insight and leadership needed to ensure that devolution delivers meaningful, lasting change across the region. This role reports into the Executive Director, Strategy & Inclusive Growth and forms part of the extended EMCCA strategic leadership team. Candidates for these demanding but rewarding roles need collaborative leadership qualities, professional expertise and experience. You will also need to demonstrate the ability and resilience to work at pace and be passionate about delivering real impact working with and through our partners and funders. We are looking for exceptional leaders excited at the prospect of joining an ambitious, forward-thinking, growing organisation where you can deliver significant impact and demonstrate just how good you can be.
