The Bursar, the most senior non-teaching post holder in the school, is responsible for, amongst other things, the financial affairs of the school, human resources relating to non-teaching staff, estate management, health and safety, data protection and the management of all capital projects. As a member of Senior Management, the post holder will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of a large team across a range of disciplines. The Bursar will have a broad and deep level of operational and professional knowledge and experience in complex service areas, exercising a large degree of independent professional responsibility and discretion. The post holder will lead a team of approximately 60 staff supporting the development and implementation of the school’s corporate strategy and policy. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively and closely with senior management, staff and external stakeholders.
The Bursar will ensure that the school operates effectively and economically in a way which is responsive to the changing needs of the organisation whilst maintaining high standards of governance.
The Bursar will support the Principal, Senior Management Team, and Board of Governors in contributing to the successful implementation of the School Development Plan.
