This is your chance to make a profound difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs and be a part of their incredible journey About the Role As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GRAD TA) for a secondary school, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 11-18. You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, provide one-on-one support to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will also involve supporting students with their coursework, helping them to develop study skills, and encouraging their academic and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Support Individual Learning Plans: Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for secondary school students. Provide Targeted Support: Offer one-on-one and small group support tailored to students’ needs, ensuring they receive the attention and assistance required to succeed. Monitor Progress: Track and assess student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary to ensure each student is progressing towards their goals. Collaborate with Staff and Parents: Work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student’s education and well-being. Create a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported. Engage and Motivate Students: Use a variety of methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences. Requirements Experience: Prior experience in supporting secondary school students is essential.
