Essential requirement for post: General Dental Council Registered Dental Nurses
We are seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Dental Nurses who hold the British National examining board for dental surgery assistants’ certificate / EBDN / NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Dental Nursing.
This is a multidisciplinary department which requires a dental nurse to work within the specialties of Oral Maxillofacial & Orthodontic.
This will involve maxillofacial and orthodontic clinics which run alongside minor oral surgery sessions & emergency clinics. X-ray facilities are located within the department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be reliable, highly motivated, using their own initiative, and work well within a team. They will need to have a supportive, caring attitude and be committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients.

The post holder must be able to:
1. Report departmental issues to the clinic manager.
2. Attend regular staff meetings to review standards of practice and ensure dissemination of information.
3. Develop good communications and fair and clear relationships with staff across the multi-disciplinary team.
4. Communicate with all grades of staff regarding patient care, providing and receiving complex or sensitive information relating to planned or received treatment.
5. Liaise between clinician, technician, patient, and external agencies to arrange appropriate appointments.
6. Effectively communicate with patients and their relatives, delivering information in a way that is easily understood, especially when there are barriers to communication.
