Job Description: Transport Planner

Overview
As a Transport Planner, you will serve as the primary point of contact for field staff, responsible for organising the daily planning of personnel and equipment within the Operations Division. This is a pivotal role requiring excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure resources are effectively managed and operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain daily schedules for personnel and equipment
Ensure the planning board is accurate, up to date, and adaptable to changes.
Planning driver routes across the UK and ensuring that drivers are available to do the routes
Operations:
Maximise resource utilisation to achieve operational efficiency.
Administration:
Review and process timesheets.
Create purchase orders.
Perform all required administrative tasks to a high standard, adhering to company policies.
Communication:
Provide Operators with detailed job assignment information.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach.
Desirable:
Previous experience in a planning or coordination role.
