Specsavers in Poole are looking for an ambitious and talented Optometrist to join their diverse team. The focus at this store, is about pulling together and working as a team to ensure that their valued patients have an excellent experience. Having visited the store and met with Emma and the team, I can honestly say this is a very friendly and welcoming store. With some staff members progressing from Optical Assistant to Optometrist. Both directors Emma and Sinan encourage clinical, personal, and professional development. Allowing you to become the best you can be in the Optics industry.
With 8 Optometrists, 2 CLOs, 3 DOs, 2 pre-regs, plus retail staff you will certainly be welcomed with open arms. I met with all the team on my visit, and they were all very professional and very much respected Emma and Sinan.

Our store has 6 test rooms, all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology (including OCT). We offer enhanced clinical services including post cataract assessments and glaucoma shared care, as well as a local MEC’s scheme. We always aim to be the very best we can be – both clinically and in terms of customer service. Our experienced, diverse, and friendly team are always on hand to offer support and take care of patient’s needs, meaning that as our new Optometrist, you can focus on offering a first-class sight test to our loyal customers.
What we’re looking for
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for an Optometrist who will go the extra mile for our customers and someone who encourages their colleagues to do the same. You’ll be confident testing at 20 minutes; meeting and exceeding all personal and team goals without compromising the high standards of clinical care we are proud of and be an ambassador for the Specsavers brand at all times.
You will assist the directors with the supervision of professional and support staff as required; holding a Pre-Reg supervision qualification would be a distinct advantage, however, we are happy to support your learning and development in this area and pay for the appropriate courses.
In summary, we’re looking for a high calibre resident Optometrist to join us and assist in driving this excellent practice forward.
