The Role Nigel Wright are supporting an organisation in Sunderland with their search for a Health and Safety Administrator. The H&S Administrator is an important role within the team to provide support in terms of general administration of day to day information through data analytics, providing reports, ensuring documentation and critical information is clear,concise and readily available. Duties: Working with the Health and Safety Advisors to deliver the Health and Safety Plan for the organisation Working with the Head of Health and Safety to keep the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance SharePoint site up to date. Supporting the Technical Assurance Manager to manage and monitor the programme of quality assurance and quality control for gas and electrical safety. Administering meetings of the Group’s Health and Safety Committee, and other working group overseen by the Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team, including scheduling the meetings,taking minutes, issuing actions and monitoring the progress against those actions. Supporting the Head of Health and Safety to prepare Board reports and supporting documents. Supporting the Health and Safety Manager and Health and Safety Advisors with the planning and implementation of the health and safety mentors programme. Managing the database of risk assessments and safe systems of work and liaising with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are reviewed at the required intervals. Monitoring the health and safety email inbox and allocating emails to the relevant member(s) of the Health and Safety Team. Monitoring incidents received via MySafe and allocating them to the relevant member(s) of the Health and Safety Team. Overseeing outstanding and overdue incident investigations and associated actions and providing a monthly update to the Health and Safety Manager. Providing other support to the Health, Safety, Risk and assurance Team as required. The Person Skills/Attributes: No requirement to be from a H&S background, but has a keen interest in learning and developing within the subject Analytical in approach, able to extract, understand and present data Excellent writing skills, the role will be heavily focussed on providing information and reports including up to Board level Ability to understand priorities and manage a variety of workload tasks effectively Experience of working in a business support role with focus on data and administration Values driven individual with ability to engage well across multiple levels Next Steps Please contact for further details.
