What the Job Involves As a Repairs Supervisor, you will lead a team of high-performing repairs operatives to ensure high standards of work quality and efficient use of materials. Your role involves undertaking complex diagnostics and coordinating multi-trade repair projects affecting multiple properties, such as resolving major leaks by applying proficient skills across trades including carpentry, plumbing, decorating, plastering, and tiling. Your responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks and one-to-one meetings with operatives, performing pre and post inspections on tenanted properties, and managing a void team to ensure voids are delivered within the set timeframe. You will attend evening tenant association meetings and be responsive to both internal and external customer needs, ensuring compliance with health and safety rules and regulations in all work activities. You will actively participate in the monitoring and management of revenue budgets for your area, maintaining effective controls around materials and spending. You'll attend regular meetings to assess trends and best practices, maintaining effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including community groups, residents, and council officials.
