Are you an experienced Finance Manager with a passion for delivering excellence?
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity to join our Ground Engineering team as part of the transformative Sizewell Project. Based at our Sizewell Satellite Office in either London or Ipswich, this role offers a unique chance to contribute to a high-profile project that will shape the future of the UK’s infrastructure.
As Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in establishing and sustaining the financial control environment throughout the Joint Venture. Working closely with the JV Project Director, JV Commercial Lead, JV Partners and the Ground Engineering Senior Finance team, you’ll set up and define financial processes for the joint venture, implement robust controls, and deliver insights that drive project success.
This role is broad and includes anything from risk management to procurement, financial reporting and managing the supply chain.
What you'll be doing
In this broad and varied role, you’ll be involved in every aspect of the project’s financial management, including:
* Financial Oversight: Managing actual costs, ensuring accurate use of project codes, and validating financial data.
* Reporting Excellence: Producing detailed project financials, including management accounts, balance sheets, cashflows, and budgets.
* Performance Monitoring: Comparing actuals to budgets, analysing variances, and delivering timely, accurate reports to Head Office.
* Risk Management: Collaborating with commercial teams to assess risks, opportunities, and ensure adherence to the CVR process.
* Audit & Compliance: Leading audits and maintaining compliance with statutory reporting and governance requirements.
* Supply Chain Management: Overseeing cost verification and providing financial due diligence to support procurement decisions.
* Continuous Improvement: Developing insightful analysis to inform decision-making and adopting best practices to enhance project delivery.
