Solar Careers UK, is a division of the solar industry's trade association Solar Energy UK, who represent 425 solar businesses, many that specialise in providing high quality solar installations to domestic, commercial, and utility-scale clients. We have been asked to assist them with the recruitment of full-time and permanent installation teams from across all regions of the United Kingdom. New entrants welcome. Responsibilities: Compliance and Monitoring: Understand the company’s detailed obligations for your assigned sites. Ensure, monitor, and report on compliance with those obligations. Be aware of HSE issues, report any on-site concerns to the Regional Manager and HSE Manager, and implement necessary measures to improve HSE standards. Maintenance Activities: Perform scheduled maintenance and corrective maintenance works (including HV maintenance) for solar plants to ensure their successful ongoing operation. Site Responsibility: Take primary on-site responsibility for plant performance, work quality, and site appearance, including electrical systems, landscaping, and other elements. Coordination: Maintain regular contact with all relevant planners, managers and supervisors to coordinate site works effectively and seek guidance where needed. Work Tickets: Collaborate with other Site Technicians to resolve work tickets and provide necessary information to all relevant planners, managers and supervisors in a professional, complete, and timely manner. Liaison with internal and external parties such as in-house LV, HV, and ground maintenance teams, subcontractors, and other third parties as directed. Training and Development: Undertake all required training and development opportunities professionally and diligently. Requirements Skills Essential: Computer literate. Ability to work under own initiative. Team player. Full UK Driving License. Qualifications Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (e.g., C&G 2330 Level 2/3 with AM2). Level 3 BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (current edition). HV qualifications Desirable: Qualifications or training in specific PV inverter technologies. Communications or networking qualifications. IOSH or NEBOSH certification. UK electrical experience in photovoltaic (PV) systems. UK electrical experience.
