To support these staff and help the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) meet these challenges, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Improvement Project Officer to join our Strategy Team on a 16 month secondment. Your drive and ambition will be key to supporting strategy and improvement programmes alongside project support - across all areas of the organisation. There will be opportunities to gain experience and be supported in key aspects of transformation; project management, improvement, and change management, striving to provide the best services for our patients.The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team of like-minded colleagues and will be expected to combine knowledge and experience of continuous improvement and/or project management to support the delivery of our organisation's key strategic priorities. The role is based at the Royal Derby Hospital on the outskirts of Derby, but the successful applicant may be required to travel to any one of the 5 sites belonging to University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job Support: Providing project management and improvement support e.g. producing project plans, co-ordinating delivery activities, diary management, organising events and facilitating meetings/group sessions. Project Management: Supporting the whole lifecycle of a project and programme and develop and build upon existing knowledge to align with the strategy team's approach. Continuous Improvement: Identify and utilise basic concepts of continuous improvement methodology. Training will be provided to ensure a consistent approach. Relationships: Developing effective relationships and partnership working arrangements with key stakeholders, often acting as a central point of contact, responding proactively, and highlighting issues raised. Data Analysis: Gathering, analysing, and presenting complex quantitative and qualitative data Benefits Management: Support the development of key performance indicators for successful programme delivery. Present benefits realisation of projects to managers and leads. Problem Solving: Independently identify and evaluate options for addressing challenges in readiness for senior colleague support Report Writing: Processing and generating project reports from Trust systems e.g. Project highlight reports, monitoring and escalations.
