We are here to guide and support you every step of the way The Company Our client is looking for a Technical Engineer Apprentice to join their Unified Communications installation and support team. “We are the leading supplier of business communication solutions based in Telford in the West Midlands. We specialise in providing telecommunication, VoIP, connectivity and security solutions to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the UK. We keep up to date with new technologies so that we can act as your expert - helping you make sense of the different solutions and the technical jargon - and to assist in developing a bespoke solution that meets your needs. We've got extensive in-house technical expertise. This means you can trust us to recommend the best services for you and we can handle the installation and ongoing support.” The Position Job Title: Technical Engineer Apprentice Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship Duration: 13 months Location: Telford TF2 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 (07:30 – 18:30 including travel time when required), plus occasional overtime. 1-hour unpaid lunch. Salary: £8.60 to £11.44 an hour Role and Responsibilities: The roll will be a mixture of field and office-based work. Duties will include: · Install and configure communication systems across various locations and customer sites. · Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical errors. · Provide user training and support to customers, colleagues and other departments. · Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, colleagues and stakeholders. · Collaborate with the wider Unified Communications & Support department to ensure customer satisfaction. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: The ideal candidate would be customer focused with a strong interest in technology and the determination to succeed. A Full (Clean) UK Driving Licence and 5 GCSEs at grade A-C/9-4 are essential. The candidate will need to be: · A good team player to support our working culture · A good communicator to speak and liaise with customers, new and existing · Able to prioritise their workload · Able to go the extra mile for the customer in the service and support offered to them · To have a desire to achieve results and do well for the business and themselves · To have good interpersonal skills · To be able to understand the technical products/service we offer (although no previous telecoms experience is needed you will need to have a technical mind and learn about what we do) Benefits: During the course of the apprenticeship a company van will be provided for travelling to the office and to customer sites (to begin with the candidate will need to use other means to travel to the office), as well as a laptop, mobile phone and uniform.
