The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to provide key support to users of our Finance Business Systems.
As Finance Systems Accountant, you will provide first and second-line support and training for the users of the Finance ERP, Agresso Business World, and their related interfaces.
Drawing on your strong communication skills, you will provide key assistance and support to callers on our Finance Helpdesk, ensuring all calls are recorded on our call logging system, investigated, and escalated to the supplier and/or UAL D&T services. You will provide additional support to users by creating and maintaining training materials, as well as providing end user training on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
Working with the Finance Business Systems team, you will also ensure all upgrades, service packs, and developments are fully tested with satisfactory outcomes prior to being made available in the live environment. In addition to this, you will support the development and implementation of the Finance Business Systems and other technologies, helping to enhance and guide University, D&T and Finance strategies.
About you
We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual, with previous experience of working in a financial environment. Drawing on this experience, you will demonstrate an understanding of financial business reporting requirements and operational accounting processes and controls.
You will be recognised as an authority in ABW financial systems development and administration, based on your demonstrated expertise. This will include Agresso Core Financials, Logistics, Project Costing and Billing, and workflow across both Smart Client and Agresso Self Service.
The ability to create training manuals and reference guides is essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, explaining complicated matters simply and tailoring delivery methods/media to suit the audience’s needs and understanding.
