Are you an experienced and passionate SEN teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school environment? We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our Specialist Resource Base (SNRB) within a mainstream school in Bargoed.
As an SEN Teacher in our Specialist Resource Base, you will:
1. Work closely with students with additional learning needs, providing tailored teaching and support.
2. Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of learners with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
3. Collaborate with mainstream class teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive approach.
4. Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) to support students’ academic and personal development.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly in an SNRB or similar setting.
2. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant SEN training.
3. Has a strong understanding of differentiation, behaviour management strategies, and communication techniques to support diverse needs.
4. Is patient, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
5. Can work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support student progress.
