The Governors of Gorse Hall Primary and Nursery School invite applications from an experienced and highly motivated individual with enthusiasm and a commitment to work in a collaborative team to help us to maintain outstanding provision for all our pupils.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of Finance, Human Resources, Health and Safety and Estate Management and will ideally possess the Diploma or above in School Business Management or AAT or length of service in a financial role in a school.
The post holder will be responsible for the Administrative Team, Site Manager, Cleaners and Mid-day Assistants, and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team will provide support services to facilitate the provision of a learning environment where children grow and develop in safe and supportive surroundings.
The successful candidate should:
* Have the ability to work as part of a team and independently,
* Have ability to work accurately and methodically with attention to detail,
* Be professionally assertive and able to remain calm under pressure
* Be proactive, enthusiastic and have a positive mindset and attitude,
* Have knowledge and experience of using MIS
* Provide specialist financial support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the school using computerised finance systems
* Have the ability to prioritise time and workload
* Display excellent leadership and management skills
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Be friendly, approachable and professional with a `can do’ and solution focussed attitude
* Demonstrate the ability to work with high levels of integrity, confidentiality and discretion
* Work under pressure managing competing priorities
* Have commitment and a good sense of humour
* Have completed or be willing to complete, the Certificate of School Business Management/Diploma of School Business Management or equivalent qualification
* Have a flexible and enthusiastic approach
