Job Title: Children's Residential Care Worker - Therapeutic (Driving Essential)
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £29,165.50 onboarding salary
Working Hours: Full-time (165 hours per month)
Shift Pattern: 48-hour shifts (on occasion 24 hours), inclusive of sleep-ins, with rest days in between
Number of Sleeps Required: 8 to 10
Service: Therapeutic Children’s Home
Service Users: Children aged 6-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), trauma, and neglect backgrounds
Qualifications Required: Enrolled on or completed Level 4 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce or Level 3 in Residential Childcare

The position is for a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Carer, responsible for working one-on-one with children aged 6-17 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and emotional challenges. Flexibility is essential in this role, as it involves working as part of a care team available 365 days a year. The role includes participation in educational, social, and leisure activities with the children, including trips and family visits. Rotas are provided with six weeks' notice to maintain a positive work-life balance, but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the children.
