We are currently looking for Relief Care workers who are active, kind and respectful to join our multi-site relief staffing team. You will work across the Adult Social Care in-house services within GCC, to supplement existing care teams when required, to ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the service. Whilst you are under no obligation to accept shifts, we do ask that you are committed to supporting our permanent teams by working shifts where possible. Relief Care Workers are crucial members of the team that ensure consistent care across the in-house services during busy periods, when permanent staff are unwell or on leave and they do make the world of difference - seeing a friendly and familiar face is so important to the people we support when permanent team members aren't available. Our Services are continuously evolving, and as such, this role and related responsibilities may be subject to minor change. You will use your strong communication and listening skills to communicate effectively with a range of people in a clear, open and easy to understand way. You will treat the people you are supporting with compassion, dignity, respect and empathy. You have a positive attitude and can confidently deal with challenges and problems that may arise. You will have a Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care or be willing to undertake it.
