An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse to join the nursing team within our Short Stay Ward - Sky A at Queens Hospital. The Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust's Emergency Department and Acute Medicine oversees and includes our Ambulatory Care Unit.
Sky A is a ward that is committed to providing safe, patient-focused and flexible medical care to appropriate patients who are likely to stay in hospital for 48-72 hours. We are looking for an exceptional, committed, caring and compassionate Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team. We have a dedicated and friendly team of nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.

The post holder should be a Registered Nurse with excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work with excellent inter-personal and problem-solving skills.
To provide support to the Senior Sister in effectively leading and managing the ward, participating in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in taking responsibility for the leadership of a team of staff.
