We are a friendly and dynamic team, which takes pride in everything we do to ensure our services continue to be of an excellent and high-quality standard.
The Client Financial Affairs Team Leader is an essential role for our service delivery, development, and plays a key role in making sure we provide efficient and effective support across Adult Care Services and to our vulnerable clients who require the Council to be their Appointee or Deputy.
What we’re looking for?
As Team Leader for the Client Financial Affairs team, you will have responsibility for overseeing the overall operational delivery of the Corporate Appointee and Deputyship service whilst also ensuring the service continues to develop and improve so that the department can ensure quality and standards of service are maintained to expectations.
In this role, you will be involved and take a lead on more business-related matters such as contract management, performance management, and responding to requests for information e.g. Freedom of Information Requests. You will work closely with the Team Manager and support matters such as annual team planning, budget monitoring, performance and improvement, and also lead on the implementation of any relevant changes which may affect the CFA team.
To give you a feel for the role, we have outlined some of the core skills and attributes we are looking for:
* You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage people and teams.
* You will be an effective multi-tasker with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
* You will be motivated and forward-thinking, who can demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm.
* You will be a team player.
* You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with service users, colleagues, and stakeholders.
* You will have excellent ICT skills and be able to use a range of packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* You will have project/change management experience and be able to lead and drive change.
* You will have the skills to manage staff, including the allocation of work and monitoring performance.
You will get real job satisfaction and will be supported by our amazing staff team. Benefits include:
* Salary & Progression: We offer a competitive starting salary and annual incremental progression.
* Flexible working arrangements: We offer a hybrid working model which allows our staff to work flexibly, with a combination of home and office working.
* Working environment: You will be based in the modern and vibrant Number One Riverside, located in the heart of Rochdale, and adjacent to the new Riverside Retail development.
* Leave Entitlement: You will be offered a generous holiday allowance of 26 days per annum plus bank holidays. In addition, our employees' annual leave entitlement will increase by an additional 5 days after five years’ service.
* Work Life Balance Scheme: We also offer a flexible work-life balance scheme which allows you to accrue hours and take up to an additional 12 days off each year, without impacting your annual leave entitlement.
* Teams: You will have the opportunity to work across supportive and friendly teams, giving our staff opportunities to experience new areas and develop their skills.
* Training & Development: We are invested in our staff and encourage your continued professional development with a range of opportunities and training on offer.
* Travel & Accessibility: We are located and easily accessible to nearby transport links to make it easier to travel via metro link, bus, and train.
