Job summary William Budd is a 22 bedded mixed gender haematology and oncology ward within the brand-new, purpose-built Dyson Cancer Centre. We look after patients who are undergoing intensive chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, stem cell transplantation, symptom management and end of life care. We are a dynamic and passionate team who strive to be the best whilst delivering outstanding care with patient safety and experience at the heart of what we do. We have achieved silver ward accreditation and are working towards gold. We are seeking newly qualified or experienced nurses who would like to develop their oncology / haematology knowledge and skill within a fast-paced environment. To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient centred care and provide support and advice to other staff as appropriate. To receive patients and their relatives in accordance with recognised policies and ensure that they are kept informed of treatment and progress.
