Are you an experienced Fire Commissioning or Service Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge naval vessels? Johnson Controls’ Global Marine & Navy Fire Team is seeking a remotely based engineer, ideally located in Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh area), to support our Set to Work (STW)/Commissioning team on Fixed Fire Projects.

Your Role:
* Commissioning and setting to work Fixed Fire Systems on naval vessels
* Collaborating with customers, project teams, and sub-contractors to ensure successful system implementation
* Attending progress meetings, testing events, and drafting reports
* Ensuring compliance with EHS safety protocols and risk assessments
* Supporting the Fixed Fire Service Team when not engaged in commissioning projects
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in servicing or commissioning Fixed Fire Systems
* Strong mechanical engineering background (qualification desirable)
* Ability to read engineering drawings (P&IDs, schematics)
* Familiarity with shipyards, commissioning processes, and test equipment
* Full UK driver’s license
* Security Clearance (SC UK MOD) or willingness to obtain it
* Flexibility to travel and work away from home for periods of up to 3-4 weeks
