Objectives / Scope The objective of the CNC Turner role within our Machine Shop is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning machines to produce precision components that meet or exceed engineering specifications. This role involves programming machines, performing various machining operations such as turning, grooving, boring, facing, and threading, and conducting in-depth quality control inspections to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and quality. The scope of this position includes routine maintenance of equipment, thorough documentation of production processes and inspection results, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The CNC Turner will play a critical role in our manufacturing process, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production line while collaborating with team members to achieve continuous improvement in all machining activities. Main Responsibilities Set Up, Program and Operate Doosan Puma / Doosan Lynx Produce components to fine tolerances from engineering drawings. Track and record progress of all jobs on the shop floor via the ERP system. Control, record and ensure traceability of stock materials. Up-date the manual record of machine maintenance weekly Machine items for general factory use within the Group. Adopt good housekeeping practices for the Machine Shop Area (swarf clearance). Liaise with team leader and other departments on scheduling of workloads. Assist with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the Group. Maintain the Group management behaviours practices and equal opportunity policy. Comply with any environmental responsibilities as identified by the Group and communicated by your line manager that are relevant within your department. Skills Base Machining Competency.
