Job Description:
This role is ideal for someone newly qualified in joinery, carpentry, or a related trade, or who can demonstrate equivalent experience and is keen to specialise in glazing and window/door fitting. Working alongside experienced glaziers, you’ll gain practical experience preparing materials, assisting with installations, and developing the skills needed to deliver outstanding results for our clients. With commitment and a proactive attitude, you’ll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibilities and progress in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the installation and fitting of windows, doors, and glass products
2. Preparing tools, equipment, and materials for jobs
3. Learning glazing and glass-handling techniques
4. Supporting the on-site team with clean-up and organisation
5. Following health and safety protocols at all times
6. Driving to various locations across West Lothian, Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife
Experience And Qualifications:
1. Recently qualified in joinery, carpentry, or a similar trade, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
2. Full, clean UK driving licence
3. A keen interest in learning glazing and window/door fitting
4. Good physical fitness and willingness to carry out manual labour
5. Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
6. Basic understanding of health and safety practices
Desirable Skills:
1. Previous experience in window and/or door fitting
2. Familiarity with basic tools and equipment used in glazing and installation
3. Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
4. Knowledge of glass-handling techniques and installation methods
