Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales
Hours: 28 per week with flexi/ TOIL
The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales is seeking to recruit a Wilder Engagement Officer (Brecon)
We need a talented engagement officer, passionate about engaging local communities with wildlife and supporting them to take positive action to help nature’s recovery. We know that if nature is to be restored at scale, we need many more people on nature's side.
We are looking for someone who is highly personable and passionate, and who is comfortable building positive relationships with diverse audiences. You are organised, motivated, and comfortable working under your own initiative. You will focus on delivering high-quality, nature-related engagement in Brecon and the surrounding area, including the upper reaches of the South Wales valleys. This role forms part of the Trust’s wider engagement team, working to help build ‘Team Wilder’ and work towards the Trust’s goal of 1 in 4 people taking action for wildlife by 2030.
In the job description we have listed essential and desirable experience and skills. You will be supported by the wider WTSWW team, which includes reserve staff, conservation staff, and engagement and communication officers. Ecological degree or equivalent desirable.
We are committed to putting equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of The Wildlife Trusts, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife in their daily lives.
