Location: South Coast - Base location will be either Kent, Falmer, Durrington or Otterbourne - Hybrid 3 office days and 2 work from home - site visit required, therefore full driving licence is essential.
Work type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Contract Performance Specialist to manage and deliver Operational excellence across the Water Repair & Maintenance Contract by creating a “One Team” alliance with our Service Partners and Internal Customers, identifying opportunities and delivering efficiencies to enable the company to achieve its strategic and financial targets, regulatory compliance, serviceability and excellent levels of customer service.
Being part of our Water Network contracts team, you will be responsible for stakeholder and performance management of contract supplies which includes managing financial service level agreements and other relevant key performance indicators required to deliver value from the contract by optimising the delivery methods and creating innovative ways with the in-house and service provider teams to achieve the desired output.
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Developing, refining and implementing processes that ensure continuous improvements and efficiencies are identified, working with other areas of the business and stakeholders to gain approval, implement and monitor to ensure effectiveness.
* Using Management Information to understand areas of overspend and inefficiency, and working with Service Partners, Commercial and Finance Teams to identify corrective actions and opportunities to realign spend to budget and maximise gainsharing.
* Monitoring monthly spend against Capex and Opex budgets, and ensuring external Service Partners deliver the service they are contracted to deliver to the required quality, cost and time scales.
* Monitoring and developing an audit programme that ensures governance of the R&M Contract, covering all aspects of the Service Partners and internal resources activities, Health & Safety, quality, value, compliance, service risks, data/reporting etc.
* Coordinating continual Contract development and improvement, assessing scope and obligations in-line with environmental and legislative changes as well as business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience in a Project management/Contractor management role within an operational environment.
* A strong background in managing contracts with sound commercial and contracting experience, being financially astute and able to drive financial performance.
* The ability to assess demands and expectations of internal and service partner teams, identifying solutions to assess the effectiveness of current business processes and look for areas of improvement, efficiency, and innovation.
* Confidence to conduct risk assessments in complex situations, balancing the cost of work and resources.
* Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and drive.
* Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate at all levels within the business and externally.
