This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of an exciting and growing area, shaping the future direction of innovative medicines and playing a key role in developing our scientific approach to Oligonucleotide development and manufacture. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in bioprocessing and be an expert in key bioprocessing unit operations, with a focus on chromatography and ultrafiltration. They will help develop downstream purification processes for our oligonucleotide products, working closely with key stakeholders in partner groups such as analytical, process engineering and clinical and commercial manufacturing. They will also play a key role in the development of our oligonucleotide purification platform, collaborating internally and externally to explore cutting-edge scientific approaches and technologies. In this role you will Support the development of robust downstream purification processes for oligonucleotide products, both in early and late-stage development, working with members of the process development team. Author/contribute to detailed technical reports and process transfer documents to support tech transfer activities, and engage with manufacturing teams to ensure successful campaign completion. Stay current with the latest downstream technology improvements and process development approaches, leading continuous improvement efforts to maintain GSK's technical competitiveness and play a key role in platform development. Contribute to project and matrix teams to deliver both the GSK portfolio and technology development objectives Basic Qualifications/Experience: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: MSc or Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline Proven a cademic or Industrial experience in Biologics/Oligonucleotides and/or Biomanufacturing Preferred Qualifications/Experience: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant industrial experience, and experience of helping develop purification processes for Oligonucleotides An understanding of oligonucleotide chemistry, structure, and properties to inform purification process design Knowledge of Quality by Design (QbD) principles and their application to downstream process development Closing Date for Applications - Thursday 8th May 2025 Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.
