Applicants are invited to apply for the role of Junior LEDS (ST1/2 level) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology working at St. Mary's Hospital, Managed Clinical Service. This encompasses the Oxford Road Campus, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital.
There is 1 12 month fixed term post and 2 6 month fixed term posts. Successful applicants may be expected to work at any of these sites as their main base. The base site is fixed and cross site cover is not expected - with the exception of specific areas as outlined in the job description - e.g. covering the Emergency Gynae Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital from the base site of Oxford Road Campus.
Main duties of the job
To provide a clinical service in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology at a level expected of an ST1/2 trainee, working closely with the Consultants and multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be accountable to the Lead Clinician. At the same time the successful candidate will gain invaluable experience and training whilst working in a busy tertiary referral center or District General Hospital.
Candidates that are non-GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trust's International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £500 admin charge for this scheme).
