Job Title: Finance Manager
Salary: Circa £50,000
Employment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Office-based
Our client are currently seeking a full-time Finance Manager to work within their busy accounts team based in Watford. Key Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Accounts Creation: Prepare monthly accounts for the allocated region, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and KPIs.
2. Ledger Management: Oversee sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers, and perform accounts reconciliation.
3. Month-End Processing: Handle month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
4. Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed and address any issues.
5. Discrepancy Analysis: Analyze and report discrepancies, ensuring 100% accuracy for board presentations.
6. Budgeting: Prepare and reforecast budgets.
7. Compliance: Ensure financial compliance with HMRC and other regulatory bodies.
8. Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing for annual external audits and liaise with auditors.
9. Cost Saving Initiatives: Contribute to cost-saving and shared service initiatives.
10. Asset and Liability Monitoring: Monitor key assets and liabilities to drive balance sheet and business improvements.
11. Reporting: Provide monthly reports to the Head of Finance and MD, suggesting improvements on budget deviations.
12. Team Coordination: Work closely with and coordinate the accounts teams for accurate and coherent performance reporting.
13. Cash Flow Management: Manage daily cash flow and inter-account transfers.
14. Ad-Hoc Reporting: Handle ad-hoc reporting both internally and externally.

15. Effective Communicator: Strong communication skills with experience in Management and Financial Accounting.
16. Proactive Leader: Lead by example and support the accounting team as needed.

18. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office applications; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
19. Relevant Experience: Essential experience in a similar environment.
