TeacherActive are looking for a Engagement and Behaviour Mentor to work in a specialist SEMH alternative provision in Nottingham.
The role consistants of you assisting with the smooth running of engagement and behaviour support within the provision, under the guidance of the deputy headteacher and the rest of the SLT.
Basic Role Description
-Teaching Basic Skills in an SEMH provision to pupils of varying abilities
-Supporting children during lessons/school activities
-Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
-Managing pupils personalised learning based on their individual need.
-Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
-Collecting evidence of children’s work to support their assessment
-Providing physical management and care of pupils
The setting supports young people in KS3 & 4 who have been permanently excluded or are on the verge of permanent exclusion from mainstream schools. The aim is to either re integrate these young people back into mainstream schools/post 16 education/ apprenticeships or training through personalised education plans.
