We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to open a new 4-bed children’s home in Winsford, catering to children and young people with learning disabilities (LD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The home is situated near another existing, well-established service. The Registered Manager will be responsible for registering the home with Ofsted and ensuring its effective and safe operation. They will deliver high-quality care for children and young people, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and create a warm, supportive environment. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (CYP) (required by Ofsted for registration). Experience managing a children’s home is essential. Key Responsibilities Open and manage a new children’s home, ensuring its successful registration with Ofsted. Provide high-quality care by understanding the needs of children and young people, empowering them with new skills, and helping them aspire to their goals. Ensure the home is compliant with all statutory regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices. Manage staff effectively, including mentorship, training, and performance evaluations, to uphold care standards. Collaborate with external professionals and agencies to meet children and young people's needs. Oversee the development and implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and support strategies. Monitor the home’s budget and ensure financial compliance. Maintain health and safety standards within the service and ensure compliance with organisational policies. Participate in the client’s out-of-hours on-call management service. Conditions of Service 38 days of annual leave, including bank holidays. Auto-enrollment pension scheme. Education, Certification & Experience Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (CYP) is essential. Extensive knowledge of interventions relating to behaviours of concern. Experience managing a children’s home is essential. Four years of experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours of concern. Experience in Leadership registered with Ofsted. Standards and Quality Assurance Actively support the client’s aims and ethos. Uphold organisational policies and maintain professional standards in dress, punctuality, and conduct. Training Ongoing training will be provided to ensure competency and skill development in the role.
