Overall Job Purpose:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated, self-driven Accounts Supervisor to support the finance department with timely control and management of all aspects of the purchase ledger system. We are looking for an experienced, reliable and pro-active finance enthusiast who thrives working in a collaborative fast-paced SME environment, looking to develop new skills and add value to a growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise & assist the P/L Assistant in all aspects of purchase ledger, particularly overseeing and controlling the Supplier Payment process and liaising with the Head of Finance.
2. Build excellent relationships with Suppliers and internal departments to resolve any supplier queries that arise on a timely basis.
3. Assist with month-end reporting.
4. Ensure accurate Supplier statement reconciliations, GRNI ageing, debit balances, manual payment tracker.
5. Processing monthly corporate card transactions.
6. Inputting authorised timesheets onto Sage 200 for job costing purposes.
7. Processing weekly and monthly payroll, pension and HMRC payment runs through BACS.
8. RTI reporting to HMRC.
9. Year-end routines, P60’s, P11D’s, etc.
10. Posting and reconciling payroll and pensions to the Nominal ledgers.
11. Processing weekly expenses and petty cash.
12. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns.
13. Preparation and submission of monthly CIS Subcontract returns.
14. Pension auto enrolment.
Experience and Abilities:
1. Proven experience of working effectively within a similar role for at least 3 years with emphasis on purchase ledger and supervisory capacity.
2. Proficiency in using Sage 200, Sage 50 payroll, and MRP systems with a good level of computer literacy in Microsoft, Excel, and the Internet.
3. Strong communication skills with good presentation and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
4. Ideal candidates will have strong collaboration skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate effectively and have a strong awareness of deadlines.
