Alpine F1 Team have an exciting opportunity within the Aerodynamic Performance Group.
The Role
Working in the aero performance group, you will take on projects covering a wide range of topics, helping to define, validate and track our aerodynamic development directions. Exploiting wind tunnel tests and CFD simulations, you will leverage our state-of-the-art toolset, including lap simulations and driver-in-the-loop simulator to answer aero performance questions and influence our aerodynamic targets.
You will assist with preparation and execution of track testing projects for performance and correlation studies, after which you will take the lead analyzing and extracting insights from the gathered data, providing actionable feedback to our car programmes.
You will contribute to supporting race events, working with other vehicle performance functions to inform key setup decisions, optimizing car performance through data analysis and simulation studies.
Integral to this role, you will guide and contribute to the development of our aerodynamic performance tools from instrumentation and sensors to data analysis tools and methodologies.
The Person
You have previous experience in a related field of aerodynamics or vehicle dynamics and aspire to combine your skills and natural curiosity to take on complex challenges.
You possess a sound understanding of race car aerodynamics and how they relate to car performance.
You have experience with data analysis, processing, and visualization. Experience of wind tunnel testing, CFD, or vehicle simulations would be advantageous.
This position demands strong teamwork and quick decision-making abilities. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential.
