About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable school in North Leeds. This full-time position, offered through Career Teachers, involves working closely with students who have special educational needs, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the educational and social development of students with special needs.
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide tailored support.
Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of each student.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
