Site Engineer(Water/Utilities)
The Role:Reporting to the Site Agent, the Site Engineer will be responsible for survey control on the project, ensuring that all detailed works are set out accurately in line with contract drawings and that regular checks are conducted.

Promote our client’s cardinal rules and establish safe working cultures and practices.
Provide technical advice on-site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
Manage the site and various elements of construction projects.
Oversee building work and ensure quality standards are met.
Set out, level, and survey the site.
Produce a two-week lookahead in collaboration with the Site Agent.
Maintain site diaries and allocation sheets.
Prepare ITP check sheets in line with specifications.
Ensure plans, drawings, and quantities are accurate for calculations.
Supervise site security, health, and safety.
Organise and oversee material and human resources.
Manage design documents provided by the client.
Ensure works are set out according to contract drawings, conducting regular checks.
Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with construction regulations and by-laws.
Report progress and updates to clients.
Plan work efficiently, adapting to setbacks and challenges.
Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other on-site issues.

Work closely with the client and the wider project team, ensuring effective and timely communication while proactively managing client expectations.Audit and Governance
Comply with governance as set out by the client.
Collaborate with the wider team and client audit team to ensure documentation is available for audits as required.

Essential
Experience in setting out Civil Engineering projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations.
Specific experience in drainage, earthworks, structures, and water.
CSCS Card.
Cable avoidance training.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and positive outlook.
Strong communication skills at all levels.Desirable
Experience with AutoCAD.
Temporary works coordination.
Degree or HNC in civil engineering (or equivalent).
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
